Coronavirus Update: Professional Cleaning Services

As our communities are increasingly impacted by the COVID-19 virus, we at Morris and Moffitt are working to help keep our clients and our team safe.

Though Mecklenburg and Cabarrus Counties have issued a Stay at Home Order, Morris and Moffitt is excluded as an Essential Service and we remain open, and are well prepared to provide expert-level cleaning services for homes and businesses.

The CDC recommends increased cleaning of touchpoints and the application of disinfectants to other surfaces — counters, tabletops, doorknobs, light switches, bathroom fixtures, and other high-touch surfaces.

Infection control requires a dual approach — change in human behavior (social distancing, hand-washing, etc), and also steps to stop the spread of contamination on services. The best available information about COVID-19 indicates that it is spread both by direct exposure to to the cough or sneeze of infected persons, as well as secondary exposure to objects and surfaces with residual viral particles. Early reports from the CDC indicate the virus may remain viable on non-porous surfaces for up to nine days (as compared to 1-3 days for normal influenza viruses).
